Diving ranula- A case report and review

Pathologies developing on the floor of mouth create difficulty for patient and pose a challenge to oral physicians both clinically surgically as this area manifests numerous vital structures. While diagnosing, an accurate differential diagnosis should be established rule out other lesions that usually occur such ranula, lipoma, salivary gland tumours, dermoid cyst, vascular lesions. Cystic from glands are commonly known "mucoceles", these develop mostly in relation minor rarely, major glands. Mucoceles basically two types: Mucous retention cyst extravasation cyst. A Ranula is form mucous which occurs mouth. Deep seated when herniate through mylohyoid muscle give rise clinical variant; plunging or cervical Ranula. Various treatment modalities ranula has been suggested include excision lesion with without ipsilateral sublingual gland, marsupialization, aspiration cystic fluid, sclerotherapy, incision drainage many more. Those various treatments have shown diverse results. Here we present case report review Sublingual 47-year-old female patient, treated follow-up 3 months revealed no recurrence.
